What if I have dietary restrictions?

We accommodate dietary needs. When you book, you'll fill out a form about allergies, restrictions, and preferences. Our chef works with these to create meals that fit your needs while maintaining the high-protein, anti-inflammatory approach.

Let us know what you need, and we'll make it work.

Is there alcohol?

No, this retreat is a reset. It is designed to give you the experience of a body that has lower inflammation so you can feel the health in you, a mind that isn’t cloudy so you can really think about what you want your life to be moving forward.

Do I need to have experience in using kettlebells or strength-training?

No. We will teach you how to move properly. However, you do need to begin walking or doing some form of exercise. I am going to be offering a monthly program for those who would like my help. During the retreat we will be going on a 90 minute hike to Nauyaka Waterfalls. Additionally, you will be walking around Imiloa as you go from your lodging to the meal, workout and workshop sites. Use this retreat is your ‘why”, the reason you need to begin working out and staying consistent.

I want to come, but can I really afford this?

I get it—$3,900-$7,500 is a significant investment. Here's the truth, you’ve earned this by all you’ve done for others and you need this if you want to continue to be there for those that need you.

You've spent decades investing in everyone else—their education, their futures, their dreams. This isn't selfish; it's smart. For the cost of the retreat, you get five days of all-inclusive luxury in Costa Rica PLUS all the knowledge and tools to chart a way forward that is more exciting, healthier and powerful than anything in the past.

Payment plans are available.

Can I really take five days away from my responsibilities?

Five days. That's what stands between you and a healthier body, between you and having clarity about who you want to be in the future..

You've given years—decades—to everyone else. Your aging parents will be fine. Your adult children will manage. Your work will be there when you return.

And here's the truth: when you come back stronger, clearer, more energized and happier, you'll be BETTER for everyone who needs you. You can’t run on fumes forever.

Will this actually work for me? I've tried things before...

I understand the skepticism. You start every Monday with a new diet, new promise to yourself.

Here's what's different: you're not taking my word for it—you're going to FEEL it. In five days, you'll experience what happens when inflammation drops, blood sugar stabilizes, and your muscles get the protein and movement they're starving for.

This isn't theory or hope. It's biology. Your body WILL respond because that's what bodies do when you give them what they need. You'll leave with the exact protocols to continue it at home.

I don't have anyone to come with. Will I feel awkward alone?

You will not feel alone or awkward. In fact, you won’t just make lasting friendships while there, you will make friendships before you arrive. As the trip approaches I will be setting up Zoom calls on a regular basis so we can all meet one another and share a little something about ourselves.

Here’s what you’ll find while there: A group of capable women who are ready for more. Women who are inclusive and want the best for one another. You're all experiencing the same or similar frustrations with brain fog, declining energy, too much time thinking about others and not enough time to take care of you.

The vulnerability you're worried about? That's what creates the bonds.

When I went to Imiloa I was so moved by the incredible women I met there and I was moved to tears. That’s what i want for you too.

What fitness level do I need to be?

All levels are welcome. Seriously.

However, you will be walking a lot, sometimes uphill. Let this be there reason you finally start getting consistent in your workouts.

We do modify for each individual’s level. Never done a deadlift? We'll teach you proper form with light weights. Worried about the 90-minute hike? We will all help each other.

This isn't about where you START—it's about what you LEARN and how you FEEL by the end.

Many women start at my classes in New York thinking, "I can't do this" and end up shocked and empowered by what their bodies accomplished. That's the whole point.

“I’m not in perimenopause” or “I'm past menopause.” Can I still come?

This retreat addresses the challenges in perimenopause or menopause, but the same things that work for this age group like controlling blood sugar, reducing inflammation, supplementation and building muscle are true regardless of your age. If you're someone who wants to feel vibrant health, wants to get their body back after babies or whatever life has thrown at you, if you’re someone who wants to chart a new path forward and this resonates deeply, reach out—we'll discuss if it's the right fit.

If you're past menopause? Absolutely come. The science, the strength training, the presence work, the goal-setting is the most important for you. You're not "too old." You're exactly who this is for.

Will there be time to just relax, or is every minute scheduled?

Both!

Days are structured with workouts, meals, workshops, and excursions—but there's also built-in free time for massages, pool time, journaling, napping, or just sitting with a view.

In order to leave feeling fully recharged you don’t just need movement, you need rest too. You need time to think, to be quiet, to stop scrolling.

What's the single biggest reason to say yes?

Because in five years, you'll either be living your boldest chapter—or you'll still be wondering "what if?"

This isn't just about five days in Costa Rica. It's about the next 20, 30, 40 years of your life.

This retreat is a reset, an inflection point where you create a future that excites you.

This retreat is where you remember who you are, rebuild your strength, and design what's next—with tools, community, and a roadmap to actually make it happen.

The question isn't "Can I afford this?"

The question is: "Can I afford NOT to?"

What's the cancellation policy?

We get it—life happens. With such a limited number of spaces available, we cannot offer a refund unless the request is within 48 hours of booking and is more than 30 days before the event.

We always highly recommend travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and medical coverage. You never know what can happen that could prevent you from traveling – you want to protect your travel investment. Be sure to read the fine print, as policies can differ greatly. It’s best to include a “cancel for any reason clause.”

Two insurance companies that we suggest are Global Rescue and Travel Guard Insurance online.

Is this covered by insurance or HSA/FSA?

This is a wellness retreat, not a medical program, so it's typically not covered by traditional health insurance.

However: Some HSA/FSA accounts DO cover wellness expenses. Check with your provider—you may be able to use those funds. We can provide a detailed receipt with the breakdown of services.

When do I need to book by?

Spots are limited to 30 women, and they fill on a first-approved, first-secured basis.

Early bird pricing ends December 1st. After that, prices increase.

If you're reading this, it means you are still feeling the pull—there’s a reason. Don't wait. Apply now.

Can I arrive early or stay later?

Absolutely! Many women add a few days in Costa Rica before or after the retreat.

We will send out hotel recommendations to participants in the lead up to the event. We do not cover additional days spent in Costa Rica. It will be your responsibility to arrange and pay for all events outside of what it listed in the “What Included?” section above.

What if I have a health condition or injury?

Please disclose any health concerns by emailing me at beth@bethchamberlin.com so we can discuss whether this retreat is appropriate for you.

We modify exercises for those that need it, but this is an active retreat with workouts and physical activities. If you have significant mobility limitations or health conditions that would prevent participation, we'll have an honest conversation about whether this is the right fit.

Your safety and success matter most to us.

Are spa treatments available?

Yes, participants will receive instructions for booking spa treatments (at their own cost) approximately 14 days prior to the retreat.

Is the water safe to drink at Imiloa?

Yes, the water at Imiloa is triple filtered. All water on the property is safe to drink.

Is there Wi-fi on site?

Yes, there is Wi-Fi in all rooms. That being said, the more you can disconnect from your life back home, the better the impact of this transformative experience, so please plan to be “off the grid” as much as possible. We suggest getting on What’s app and contacting your family through that app as needed.
