My "I'm Not Good Enough" Story Almost Killed My Dreams
I was in my 20’s, a leading lady on CBS's "Guiding Light." Making more money than I'd ever seen. People stopped me on the street.
And I felt like a fraud.
My confidence was so low that when Alec Baldwin asked for my number after seeing me on a magazine cover, all I could think was: "He doesn't really like me."
That voice—that "I'm not good enough" voice—impacted my work on the show, caused me to sabotage myself and eventually cost me my job. It took me 5 years of reading every book, attending every workshop and daily work of rebuilding my self-worth to get back on my feet.

I did get back on my feet 5 years later—so much so that I went from making zero dollars to $100K in just 8 months and ultimately got myself back on Guiding Light where I could correct my mistakes.

That's when I picked up a kettlebell.
And understand. I did not want to workout.
I was just trying to maintain my weight to keep working, keep “Guiding Light” giving me a show now and again.
I didn’t know it but what I was really doing was Changing the rest of my life. Building my self-worth and confidence. This time for good.
Here's the truth: If I hadn't picked up that kettlebell, I would be extremely unhealthy, very overweight, and probably an alcoholic today. Because I was on a path of self-destruction, drowning in the pain of "my best years being behind me."
